Studies have shown that about 80% of the Goan population lives in low-lying coastal areas, making it highly susceptible to flooding as sea levels rise at 1.5 mm a year in many of its coastlines. Further, fervently rising temperatures and an increase in devastating floods and cyclones in recent years have exacerbated the toll on the environment and economy of the popular getaway.

These changes can be as subtle as reduced levels of activity, potentially affecting their ability to find food and survive in the wild. More concerningly, these effects can be passed down to offspring who were never directly exposed, disrupting entire generations.

In contrast to the traditional approaches of evaluating employees based on time and attendance tracking, 7 out of 10 employers prioritise quality work and key performance indicators like targets and project completion rate as the primary indicator of productivity.
