The Le Palais Royal is not your typical mega-mansion.

Instead, it's a 60,000-square-foot, 4-acre compound along 465 feet of oceanfront in Hillsboro Beach, Florida. This particular stretch of beachfront housing is known by some as "Millionaires Mile."

Construction on the main home just finished. It sat on the market as an unfinished project for a year.
It's now back and even more expensive than before, with the addition of "phase two" on an adjacent property to the west.

When completed, it will feature two 3,000-square-foot guest houses, a pool between the two homes, and an underground lair that has its own ice skating rink and go-kart track. Already completed underground is a parking garage for up to 30 cars.
The mansion also has one of the world's first IMAX Home Theaters, with seating for 18.

This is what a $2 million staircase looks like. Made out of imported South African marble, it took two years to construct.
The foyer opens up to Le Salon, with huge windows facing out on the Atlantic Ocean. Not all of the chandeliers are brand new — some are imported antiques. One is 20 years old and from Austria.

According to the listing, the marble used throughout the home was specially designed to muffle the clacking sounds of high-heeled shoes.
Surrounding the TV in the family room is a 1,300-gallon "Living Color" aquarium.

The kitchen cabinets were completely custom-made with solid mahogany from La Cornue Grand Palais.
The gold-leafing featured in the renderings has been toned down quite a bit in the final product, but gold still shines through in certain areas. Over $3 million in 22-karat gold leaf is featured throughout the home.

There are three separate masters suites in the home, each with their own Jacuzzi. There are 11 bedrooms in total.
The marble shower has both a seat and a rainfall shower head.

There's a putting green outside, as well as a dock big enough to hold a 200-foot yacht. Six water features surround the property, including a 24-foot fountain, a 4,500-square-foot infinity pool, and an adjoining 12-foot waterfall.
