Forstall is a producer of "Fun Home," a Broadway musical that follows the story of a lesbian cartoonist looking back on her childhood with a secretly gay father.
The musical took home five Tony Awards Sunday evening, including the award f0r best new musical.
"Fun Home" also won Tony Awards for best book, best original score, best direction, and best leading actor.
Forstall told The Wall Street Journal in May that he really connected with the musical's characters when he first read the script in 2014.

Forstall is a long-time theater fan - he met his wife, Molly, when they were in a high school play together.
In addition to his financial contributions to the show, he also helped with digital marketing strategies and worked on partnerships with Silicon Valley companies like Uber and Yelp.
Forstall joined the rest of the "Fun Home" team on stage during the Tony Awards Sunday.
