"I was just over the stress and the judgment," she told Entrepreneur magazine. "I wasn't having fun. And life's too short. I mean, really: Who cares?"

Patrick is an author, vineyard owner, and athleisure-clothing line designer. Her entrepreneurial streak has allowed her to spot opportunities and plan for the future, including her planned retirement from racing.
