Here are the top 10 Indian universities to build tech skills

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has been ranked first in India by the QS University Rankings 2019 for engineering and technical subjects. The elite college has secured 72.9 points on employer reputation front. IIT’s Bombay campus has over 90 international student headcount along with nearly 21 international members in the teaching staff.Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, which scored the highest number of campus placements this year in subjects including analytics, research and consulting, has been ranked number two in technical domain. However, the Delhi campus of IIT ranks at 172, globally. Research labs, IIT Madras campusIIT’s Madras campus has secured the third rank in the university rankings in India. Stepping up its efforts in engineering science, the college has launched India’s first ‘Cold Spray’ SMART lab — Surface Modification and Addictive Research Technologies lab. The college has nearly 16 academic departments and labs promoting research practices. In fact, the college has scored highest for citations.IIT Kharagpur, which ranks fourth on the list, offers 15 Bachelor’s of Technology (B. Tech) programs. The college has nearly 50% of students enrolled in post graduate programs with nearly 10% international staff.IIT Kanpur, which is one of the most preferred choices for students aspiring a career in science has backed fifth rank on the QS university rankings. With a highly skilled staff and great academic reputation, the college has scored maximum points for employer reputation at 94.7%, thereby fetching its students nicely-paid jobs.The Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru has been one of the top 10 performers in India for technical studies. Though the college has most of its student base enrolled in post graduate programmes, it has emerged as a preferred institute for advanced research offering undergraduate programmes as well.Another from the prestigious league of the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee also made it to the top 10 list having an overall score of 64.9 points.
