Here's The Most-Listened-To Artist In Every State

Answer this: What is your state's favorite beer?

If you live in Pennsylvania, you'd say Yuengling. If you live in Texas, you'd say Shinerbock or Lone Star. In Oregon, you'd say your friend's beer.

This is why we called our write-up of Paul Lamere of The Echo Nest's map "Here's Every State's Favorite Band."

The data set showing the most popular band in each state, measured by overall (as opposed to relative) streams, looks different.

And this morning, Lamere published it, again using data culled from The Echo Nest's vast client base.

It's much more boring than the earlier map.
