  • The official "House of Cards" Twitter account posted a video for July 4th featuring Claire Underwood (played by Robin Wright).
  • The video is a tease of the final season, and nods to Kevin Spacey's firing last year.
  • The sixth and final season of "House of Cards" is expected to drop later this year.

On July 4th, Netflix's "House of Cards" gave a little teaser of the sixth and final season, which will star Robin Wright as Claire Underwood.

The official "House of Cards" Twitter account shared a video with Wright as Underwood. She looks at the camera and says, "Happy Independence Day. To Me." Then, as the show's theme music plays, the screen goes black and says "#myturn," a clear nod to Wright taking over for Spacey.

In November, former "House of Cards" star Kevin Spacey was fired from the show after allegations of sexual harassment and assault, including against minors and spanning decades, surfaced. Spacey's alleged harassment also affected the set of "House of Cards," according to a CNN Money report featuring anonymous interviews with eight people who work or formerly worked on the show.

When Spacey was fired in November, the show had just begun production on the sixth and final season. After his firing, the writers made changes to write Spacey out of the show, and make Wright the star of the season.

The tweet yesterday did not reveal a release date for season six, but could indicate that the final season is coming soon.
