Most people spend a good chunk of their day staring at their phone. Because of this, it's important to be able to customize your phone with the apps and settings you want, as well as the image (or images) you want displayed in your phone's background.

If you own an iPhone, changing the background on your home screen is quick and easy. Better yet, you can choose separate images for both your home screen and lock screen.

Tap "Choose a New Wallpaper."

3. Tap "Choose a New Wallpaper," and then locate the photo on your phone that you'd like to use. Note that you can always choose a standard iPhone background, which is stored on your phone by default, or pull one from your image library.

4. Tap on the image you would like to set as your background. This will launch a preview screen, on which you can choose to have the photo appear in Still or Perspective mode. Still photos will always look the same, while Perspective photos will move and shift position as you move your phone. When you're satisfied with how the photo looks, tap Set.

Once you pick your background image, you'll have to select whether you want it to be Still, or a Perspective photo.

5. A pop-up will appear asking you to choose whether you want to set the image as your Lock Screen, Home Screen, or both. Tap on your choice and the wallpaper will be set.

Note that if you're choosing separate images for your Home and Lock Screens, simply repeat steps one through four, but choose the relevant place you want the image to appear.
