Indian Institute of Mass Communication(IIMC) is inviting applications for the post of Professors, Assistant Professors and Associate Professors in the field of journalism.

The institute aims to fill as many as 17 vacancies with this recruitment drive — six for professor positions, six for associate professor and two assistant professors.

The candidates should possess specialization in Oral & Visual Communication, Political Communication, Data Journalism, Integrated Marketing Communication, Media Laws & Regulations, Communication Research, Publications/Graphics/Design among others.

The university offers an average compensation between ₹144,200 to ₹ 218,200 per month to professors. While the salary bracket for assistant professors and associate professors is ₹57,700 to ₹ 182,400, and ₹131,400 to ₹ 217,100, respectively.

Eligibility:

The candidates applying for the post of professor should hold a PhD degree in the respective subject with minimum of 10 research papers published in UGC-listed journals and nearly 10 years of work experience.

While for the assistant professor posts, candidates must have a master’s degree with at least 55% marks and the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET). The associate professor positions are open to candidates with a PhD degree and a minimum experience of 8 years and 7 research papers in recognised journals.
