78 new COVID-19 cases in Jharkhand, tally rises to 3,134
Ranchi, Jul 8 () Seventy-eight people tested positive for COVID-19 in Jharkhand on Wednesday, taking the state's infection tally to 3,134, a government bulletin said.

Of the total 3,134 COVID-19 cases, 942 are active, it said.

Sixty-six people recovered from the infection during the day, bringing the total recoveries people to 2,170, it said.

Of the total 3,134 COVID-19 cases, 2,169 are migrants.

Twenty-two people have died of COVID-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic on March 31.

The recovery rate in the state is 69.24 per cent while the mortality rate is 0.70 per cent, the bulletin said. PVR RG CK
