COVID-19: 45 suspected patients quarantined in Nashik district
Nashik, Apr 9 () As many as 45 new suspectedpatients of corornavirus were admitted to various hospitals inNashik district of Maharashtra on Thursday, officials said.

Seven of them were admitted to the District CivilHospital, three in Nashik Municipal Corporation-run Dr ZakirHusain Hospital and 35 in General Hospital, Malegaon, theysaid.

Throat swab samples of all these persons have beensent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune, theofficials said.

So far, seven persons have tested positive forcoronavirus in Nashik district, of whom one has died inMalegaon.

Meanwhile, Nashik Commissioner of Police VishwasNangre-Patil issued an order on Wednesday, making it mandatoryfor citizens to wear face masks while stepping out of theirhouses.

Failure in doing so will attract legal action, itsaid.
