Here are the top ten richest people in India as per the 2023 M3M Hurun Global Rich List and how their wealth has changed in the last one year.

Mukesh Ambani – $82 billion | World rank – 9

Mukesh Ambani, who heads Reliance Industries that has interests spanning energy, telecom, retail and more, is India’s richest person and ranks 9th in the world. His wealth has declined by 20 percent in the last one year.

Gautam Adani and family – $53 billion | World rank – 23

Gautam Adani and family, who recently saw his wealth decline amidthe Hindenburg saga is now India’s second richest man. His wealth declined by35 percent in the last one year.

Cyrus Poonawalla – $27 billion | World rank – 46

Serum Institute of India founder Cyrus Poonawalla is India’s 3th richest person and is ranked as the 46th richest person in the world. He is the only person on the India list to have seen a positive change in wealth, registering a 4 percent increase.

Shiv Nadar and family – $26 billion | World rank – 50

Founder and chairman emeritus of tech giant HCL Technologies, Shiv Nadar is India’s 4th richest person and is the 50th richest person in the world. He reported a 7 percent decline in wealth in the past year.

Lakshmi Mittal – $20 billion | World rank – 76

The chairman of ArcelorMittal, who also recently invested in UpGrad, Lakshmi Mittal is ranked as the country’s 5th richest and world’s 76th richest person. His wealth declined by 20 percent in the last year.

SP Hinduja and family – $20 billion | World rank – 76

SP Hinduja, the chairman of the Hinduja Group, has emerged as the sixth richest in India. He reported a decline of 13 percent in his wealth in the past year.

Dilip Shanghvi and family – $17 billion | World rank – 98

Dilip Shanghvi, the founder of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, is the 7th richestperson in India and has been ranked as the world’s 98th richest person. Hereported a decline of 6 percent in his wealth in the past year.

Radhakishan Damani and family – $16 billion | World rank – 107

Radhakishan Damani, the founder of popular supermarket chain Avenue Supermarts (DMart), is India’s 8th and world’s 107th richest person. He reported a 30 percent decline in his wealth in the last one year.

Kumar Mangalam Birla and family – $14 billion | World rank – 135

Kumar Mangalam Birla, the chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, isranked as the 9th richest person in India and the 135th richest person in theworld. He reported a decline of 22 percent in wealth over last year.
