Pune: More number of people fly out than inbound passengers
Pune, May 26 () The Pune international airport in Maharashtra has handled the arrival and departure of 14 flights by Tuesday afternoon on the second day of the resumption of the air services, an official said.

While seven flights carrying 338 passengers landed at the airport, a total of 781 passengers departed in seven outstation flights, he said.

On the first day of resumption of air services on Monday, the airport had handled a total of 17 flights.

" A total of 14 flights were operated by the airport authorities on Tuesday including seven arrivals and as many departures. A total of 338 passengers have arrived and 781 others have taken off," he said.

Domestic flight operations, which had been suspended for two months due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown, resumed on Monday.

On Monday, 672 passengers landed at the airport in nine flights and 985 others took off in eight flights.

He said details like the places of the origin of the flights and the destination cities will be made available later.

With services of app-based cab aggregators not available as Pune falls in the COVID red zone, the passengers have been instructed to travel to and from the airport either in their own vehicles or use dial a rickshaw facility, he said. CORR ARU NSK NSK
