Inside McVitie's Manchester factory where 2 billion Jaffa Cakes are made every year

• We were shown the entire process of how Jaffa Cakes are made.
• Other products made at the factory include Penguin bars and caramel Digestives.
• We also found out if Jaffa Cakes are actually biscuits or cakes.

McVitie's is a British food brand which was founded in 1830.

The company have a variety of factories around the UK producing many of their famous products including Digestives, Hobnobs, Penguin bars, and Jaffa Cakes.

We visited their factory in Manchester to see how Jaffa Cakes are made. McVitie's produces 2 billion Jaffa Cakes every year from the Stockport factory.

Jaffa Cakes have been produced since 1927 and they consist of sponge, chocolate and orange flavoured jam.

We got to see the whole process from start to finish and also learned the answer to the age-old question about Jaffa Cakes, is it a cake or a biscuit?
