Mikala Jones-Fielder: You can rent this entire Hollywood Hills mansion on Airbnb. But it'll cost you $12,000 a night. It's one of the first homes listed on Airbnb's new luxury line, Airbnb Luxe, and we got to take a peek inside. This room right here is half my apartment, so.

Fielder: This is 9255 Swallow Drive, a 13,000-square-foot mansion in the Hollywood Hills. The home is right in the middle of the "Bird Streets" of Doheny Estates, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Jodie Foster, Keanu Reeves, and Christina Aguilera have all lived in the neighborhood. But this modern addition to the Bird Streets popped up in 2018, and it's been listed on Airbnb since June 2019. The seven-bedroom, 12-bath villa fits 14 people. First thing when you walk in: the kitchen

Fielder: So, here's the kitchen. It's so beautiful. We've got a six-iron stovetop, which I would never use. Sink, to the left, is very large for all my dishes, which I would probably use a lot.

Fielder: There's Italian-made cabinets and an island with a table attached. Never been able to fit in a fridge before. All the windows on the main floor open up to the pool deck for an outdoor/indoor feel. Outside, there's an infinity pool and a hot tub big enough for 25 people. And panoramic views of downtown LA. Back inside, there's a courtyard with a living wall and a shark aquarium.

Fielder: I'm risking my life for you guys. Seven sharks, eight stingrays, tropical fish, and a starfish swim around a little island for one.

Fielder: Is that shark upside down? Oh, my God! All the vegetation on the wall is real. This is so cool. Like, I don't even know how you think of something like this.

Fielder: Also on the main floor, you've got access to a 500-bottle temperature-controlled wine room and a full-service bar. There's even an elevator. And when you take it downstairs... there's a gym, massage room, and sauna, along with a wellness center just down the hall. There is a lap pool behind me, indoor pool in case you didn't wanna use the outdoor pool. There's another Jacuzzi, there's two showers, lounging areas, a sauna, massage room. But if that's not enough to keep you busy, there's also a full movie theater and an entertainment room. On the top floor, you'll find the master bedroom. Two massive walk-in closets flank an entire en suite bathroom. There's also a kitchenette, in case you get hungry.

Fielder: There's a wet bar, there's his-and-hers sinks, there's luxurious bathroom. These accordion windows that lead to outside are my favorite architectural part. I love the inside/outside living space.

Fielder: Just like on the main floor, these windows are automatic and open up to a private terrace. The six other bedrooms in the house each have their own bathroom. Two of them also have a balcony. 9255 Swallow would normally cost $28 million if you were to buy it, but the owners decided to list it on Airbnb Luxe, Airbnb's newest tier of ultra-expensive homes. You'll find lavish mansions like this one all over the world, starting at $1,000 per night and going up to nearly $200,000 a night. Renters get a few perks only offered through Airbnb Luxe, including travel planners and 24/7 assistants during their trip. A driver, private chef, and butler are also available upon request. The mansion costs $12,000 a night, but with taxes, cleaning fees, and a minimum stay of five nights, you're looking at a grand total of $68,000.
