These are the most powerful passports in the world ⁠— India’s slips down by six positions

India’s rank fell down from 84th (2020) to 90th in the Henley Passport Index 2021.

Indian passport holders can travel to 58 countries without any visa.

Henley Passport Index

Based on International Air Transport Authority (IATA) data, the ranking is based on how easy it is for citizens from different countries to move around.

Japan and Singapore

Both Japan and Singapore secured the first rank this time in the list. The passport holders from these countries can travel visa free to 192 countries.

Germany and South Korea

Grabbing the second spot, Germany and South Korea passport holders can travel to 190 countries without any visa.

Finland, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain

The third rank is shared by Finland, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain. Citizens of these countries can travel visa-free to 189 countries.

Austria and Denmark

Passport holders of Austria and Denmark can go to 188 countries in the world without any visa.

France, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, and Sweden

People belonging to these six countries or holding passports of any of these countries can travel to 187 countries visa-free.

Belgium, New Zealand, and Switzerland

At sixth rank, Belgium, New Zealand and Switzerland have access to travel to 186 countries without any visa restrictions.

Czech Republic, Greece, Malta, Norway, United Kingdom, and United States

These six countries shared the seventh rank. Passport holders of these countries can enjoy no visa travel restrictions in 185 countries.
