China is also keen to invite Indian IT majors to participate in the Big Data sector.
Rajendra Pawar, the chairman of NIIT, was recently invited by the Guizhou province in China to become a member of its own advisory committee for development of Big Data business with the help of international collaborations.
NIIT has a strong presence in China's IT education scene, having opened its largest big data training facility in Guizhou’s capital city Guiyang.
"China has closely observed the phenomenon where Indian IT sector has grown by adding huge value to developed countries. This is why they would like to collaborate with Indian companies in a big way," Pawar told TOI.
Chinese companies wish to collaborate with Indian firms to operate in complex areas like analysing large blocks of data so that they can be put to wider use. Other than this, they are also interested in investing in Indian startups.
