This week, LeSports, the sports arm of LeEco, acquired exclusive international broadcast rights covering five seasons for China’s top football league, the Chinese Super League (CSL). Starting in 2016, LeSports will live stream CSL matches in the U.S., mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Canada, Southeast Asia, and more. The partnership exemplifies LeSports’ continued disruption to the global sports industry with its ecosystem of content, smart devices, event operations, and customer service.
Freshly inked this month, LeEco announced a joint venture with luxury sports car maker Aston Martin in which the two companies plan to co-develop a range of next-gen connected electric vehicles, including a production version of Aston Martin’s RapidE slated to hit the market by 2018. The two companies will work together on research and development, production, manufacturing and sales of electric cars for brands including Aston Martin and LeEco.
