Man taken into custody after 8 people were found dead inside a home in Texas

Authorities were responding to an active shooter call at a home on Falling Oaks Road Saturday night. ABC13 reports a standoff began around 9 p.m. local time, and lasted as long as three hours - ending shortly after midnight.
The location is about 15 miles northwest of downtown Houston.
Harris County Sheriff's officials say the suspected gunman surrendered, and police found the bodies of 8 people inside the home.
It was unclear how the gunman may have been related to the victims.
