After the incredible story of 9-year-old Anvitha Vijay, the Indian origin girl who was the youngest developer who attended Apple’s tech conference this year comes a story of yet another teenager who’s breaking boundaries and is doing things most kids his age don’t even dream about.

Meet 12-year-old Tanmay Bakshi who just became the talk of the town (or rather the country) after his address at the IBM Developer Connect in Bengaluru today.

A programmer since he was five, Tanmay, who’s from Canada is currently one of the youngest app developers and entrepreneurs in the world.

He is credited with developing an algorithm called ‘AskTanmay’ which is described as the world’s first Web-Based NLQA system, built using IBM Watson’ Cognitive Capabilities. The eight-step algorithm reportedly solves queries related to a ‘Person,’ ‘Organisation,’ ‘Location,’ or ‘Date’ answer type.
