New Update 3 Announced For Windows Phone 8. What’s In
It For The Users?

Microsoft’s Nokia acquisition might still be doing the rounds, but fresh-off-the-Press is the new update 3 announcement for Windows Phone 8 OS. Earlier, Microsoft’s smartphone OS had certain limitations and users did not adapt to it as one would have expected. Moreover, its hardware partners also hesitated a little when it came to adapting the technology.

But with the new update, some of the kinks will be ironed out and new users of Windows Phone 8, as well as existing ones, can enjoy these benefits. The update will allow future phones to have a larger display that can portray full HD 1080p graphics. Users can also personalise their phones by pinning more apps, contacts and info on the home screen. A new driving mode has also been added.

In addition, Bluetooth connectivity will get a boost now and users will be able to pair BT devices with more ease. Storage management becomes better, too. Customer can easily free up space on their phones and manage temporary files with the new category view, which shows what is taking up the space inside the phone. Also, one can use custom ring tones for more things, including instant messages, e-mail, voicemail and reminders. Closing an app was a bit of a scuffle in the previous version of the OS. But now, users can turn off any app using the App Switcher.

On paper, these updates do look good and should be able to boost the user experience for all those using Windows Phone 8. Hopefully, Microsoft has done its homework this time and these features would be glitch-free.
