Gone are the days when employment was considered a safer and more viable proposition in India. The country has seen an increasing number of homegrown startups in the past decade, and a subsequent boom of startup oriented services. This includes startup advisory firms, co-working spaces and private mentor groups. What do you do if you don’t know a word of law, and don’t have the luxury of borrowing the lawyer from your father’s business? A wrong move here can see you on the next prison van straight to jail.
It’s a pressing concern for many a startup, and if you’re scared of approaching mighty law or audit firms in the fear of having to write off hefty cheques, fear not. You can now get it cheap and easy online, like anything else.
MeetUrPro, an online marketplace for professional services has launched a dedicated Startup Clinic with customized solutions aimed at startups. So why use it?
“We offer the fundamental services of pre-incorporation consultation and startup health check services free of cost. The invoice for such services is often more than half a lakh rupees. We then guide clients to the right product on our portal they can purchase at a price that suites their budget. Add to that the convenience of access”, Divakar Vijayasarthy, Co-founder, MeetUrPro says.

Would newborn companies be inclined to conduct something as sensitive as legal proceedings online?
“When items as expensive as jewellery are bought and sold online, and information as personal as medical records are shared as well, why not this! A lot of sensitive official information is now sent via e-mail. Your online transaction is as secure or vulnerable as an e-mail”, Vijayasarthy observes.
Any expansion plans for the concept?
“The initial plan is to reach out to major startup hubs across India. We’re looking at Bangalore, and subsequently Hyderabad and Gurgaon by the end of the year”, Vijayasarthy says.
