OnePlus TV is all set to launch in India later today along with the OnePlus 7T. It will run on Android TV and will have as many as eight speakers with a sound output of 50W, with support for Dolby Atmos also included.

So far, OnePlus has been teasing the OnePlus TV launch with a slow-reveal of bits of information about its first smart TV. We know that it will feature a 55-inch QLED display, although a previous report had confirmed that the OnePlus TV could come in sizes between 43 to 75-inches.

OnePlus is positioning its first smart TV as a premium offering, sitting somewhere in between the affordable Mi TVs and Sony, Samsung and LG.

It is also partnering with content providers like Eros Now and Hungama Play. The details of these partnerships are not known yet, but we expect OnePlus to elaborate on this later today.

OnePlus says that it will receive updates for the Android TV platform at least in the next three years. It will be supported by Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos or an enhanced audio-visual experience.

A recent teaser shared by Pete Lau had revealed that the TV will feature a Kevlar finish and the support bar will be made of metal.
