Debt funds have performed better in May. According to the Association of Mutual Funds in India, mutual funds that invested in debt schemes or bond funds saw a 46% increase in investment to ₹63, 665 crore — higher as compared to ₹43,431 crore in April. This may be largely due to the measures undertaken by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

“RBI’s measures to deal with the trouble in a few debt funds have shown clear success in instilling confidence in investors as investments in debt funds in May are back to levels similar to before,” Harsh Jain, co-founder and COO of Groww told PTI.
