With ₹500 crore worth assets, BJP’s Parag Shah is the richest candidate to be contesting Maharashtra state elections from the Ghatkopar East assembly. He is followed by BJP’s Mangalprabhat Lodha, who has assets over ₹400 crore. Sanjay Chandrakant Jagpat is the third richest MLA candidate contesting for Purandar constituency.
There are 3,237 candidates contesting for 288 seats in Maharashtra. Out of the 3,112 candidates analysed by ADR, 1007 are crorepatis.
