From June Malia to Raj Chakroborty -- here's how Tollywood celebrities from TMC fared in West Bengal elections 2021
The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress is set to secure its victory in West Bengal elections for the third consecutive time. As of 7 pm, the All India Trinamool Congress has bagged 208 out of the 292 seats in the state.

Hoping to get votes from the movie lovers and sports aficionados in West Bengal – the land of legends like Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak and Soumitra Chatterjee – a few superstars (of past and present) had entered the political arena.

Banerjee (more affectionately called as Didi) has played this card earlier, too. From Dev to Soham Chakraborty to Mimi and Nusrat Jahan, Bengal’s Didi has used celebrities to garner votes, both during the assembly as well as the general elections.

Here’s a look at Mamata Banerjee’s ensemble cast and how they fared in West Bengal assembly elections.
