Northeast Delhi is on fire as what started as protests quickly escalated to clashes and turned violent. It has already claimed 18 lives and as many as 180 are injured, according to GTB Hospital authorities.

Pictures of mobs setting shops, petrol pumps on fire are shared on social media. Localities like Chand Bagh Bhajanpura, Maujpur-Babarpur and Jafrabad witnessed numerous shooting incidents too. As Trump concluded his 36-hour visit to India, the Delhi police took multiple steps to control the violence.
