Former President Donald Trump's Palm Beach club has partially closed following a COVID-19 outbreak.

A spokesperson for the Trump Organization confirmed the closure to Insider.

"Out of an abundance of caution we have quarantined some of the workers and partially closed a section of the club for a short period of time," the spokesperson said in a Friday statement.

A Mar-a-Lago club member reportedly received a phone call about the closure Friday and a receptionist at the resort confirmed the news to the Associated Press, telling the outlet the club was closed until further notice.

Members of the club reportedly received an email alert confirming some Mar-a-Lago staff members had tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, service at the Beach Club and à la carte Dining Room have been closed, according to a tweet from CNN journalist Jake Tapper.

The apparent alert said the club has taken all appropriate response measures in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including sanitization and cleaning of any affected areas and facilities.

Insider reached out to the Palm Beach County Department of Health.

The former president moved to the resort after leaving office in January.
