Fox News primetime programs — including Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity — won't air full January 6 public hearing, delegating live coverage to business network

Fox News Channel's primetime programs will cover the first public hearing related to the January 6 riots only "as news warrants," the network said in a press release.

Instead, Fox News hosts Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum will anchor live coverage of the Thursday primetime hearing on Fox Business Network.

The House select committee investigating the attack on the Capitol will hold its first primetime hearing on Thursday at 8pm ET, with most major networks planning to cover the proceedings during their regular scheduled programming.

The hearing is scheduled to take place at the same time as two of Fox News' top-rated shows — "Tucker Carlson Tonight" and "Hannity" — hosted by conservative hosts Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity respectively, both of whom have previously condemned the January 6 House committee and its probe as a whole.

The January 6 panel previously asked Hannity to cooperate with its investigation in the Capitol attack. Last year, Carlson also released a three-part documentary on the insurrection which was riddled with errors and fallacies.

The coverage of the January 6 hearing on Fox Business Network will be offered to Fox broadcast affiliates and livestreamed on Fox News Digital and Fox Nation, per the release.
