Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona defended himself following his House censure for sharing a violent anime clip,, saying he had never physically harmed his siblings even after they called him names.

House lawmakers voted this week to censure Gosar for sharing an anime video that had been edited to depict him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and attacking President Joe Biden.

Asked if he would have taken the post down if Ocasio-Cortez requested it, Gosar told SiriusXM Thursday: "Absolutely. I'm not here for that. I don't espouse violence, I don't espouse harming anybody, whether it be a member of Congress, whether it be a President of the United States, whether it be my own brothers and sisters."

He then spoke at greater length about his seven siblings, many of whom have been openly critical of the congressman's behavior and growing links to white nationalist movements.

"I've got seven siblings that are horrific to me," Gosar said.

"I mean, they've done everything. They've called me every name in the book, and yet I have done nothing, nothing to them at all. I have done nothing irrational.

"I've done nothing physically. I've never harmed them. I've never done anything. So that should tell you the caliber of the person you're talking to."

Gosar's brother Paul this week called for the lawmaker to be expelled from Congress, saying: "He's dangerous, unhinged, and is reckless."

His sister Jennifer told MSNBC that she was pleased Gosar had been censured, and called the video he published "bone-chilling."
