Two Indian music stars are facing the wrath of the nationalists.

The UK-based rapper Hard Kaur’s Twitter account has been suspended after she posted a video that abused India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah. Bollywood singing sensation Mika Singh has been boycotted by an industry association for putting up a show in Pakistan.

The video that was posted on Twitter, condemned the two political leaders saying that “you use people for your personal agenda” and challenged them to come forward and fight like men. Since then, the video went viral across social media platforms. Soon after, she posted a video promoting her new song "We are warriors."

The two minute long video featured Hard Kaur along with Khalistan supporters, who favoured Khalistan movement — a sikh movement that seeks to create a separate country ‘Khalistan’ in the Punjab region.

However, this is not the first time that the rapper Hard Kaur has attacked Indian politicians. Back in June 2019, she was also booked because of her negative remarks against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat. "In history, Mahatma Gandhi and Mahavir fought against Brahminical caste system. You are not a nationalist," she had commented earlier.

Mika Singh in trouble

Meanwhile, the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has banned the Singer Mika Singh from Indian film industry — boycotting all the movies and music contracts — after he was found performing in Karachi, Pakistan.

A letter from AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta stated: "AICWA bans and boycott singer Mika Singh from the Indian film industry for performing at a high profile event at Karachi dated August 8, 2019."

"AICWA takes a tough stand of immediately boycotting all his association with movie production houses, music companies and online music content providers," IANS reported.
