Restaurants offering Veteran's Day deals for Veterans and active military members

In honor of those who are serving and have served in the US military, restaurant chains are having deals on some menu items.

In order to receive these discounts, veterans need to either be in uniform or show their military ID.

Check out some of the discounts and giveaways at these chains.

Starbucks

Veterans and active military and their spouses each get a free tall coffee.

Krispy Kreme

Veterans and active military members can receive a free small coffee and a donut.

Bob Evan's

Choice of select free breakfast item.

Tim Hortons

All active and retired military may receive a free donut all day at participating restaurants.

Chili's

Veterans can get a free meals from a special menu.

iHop

Receive a free order of red, white, and blue pancakes anytime between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Olive Garden

Get a free entree from special menu. Family members with them will receive 10% off.

Denny's

Free build-your-own grand slam from 5 a.m. to noon.

California Pizza Kitchen

Veterans and active-duty military personnel will be given a complimentary entree from a special Veterans Day menu at all participating California Pizza Kitchen restaurants nationwide.

Applebees

Veterans and active military members have a choice of seven different meals on the house (beverages and gratuity not included).

Red Robin

Veterans and active military personnel get free Red's tavern double burger with bottomless steak fries.

Fazoli's

Participating restaurants will offer a free "build your own pasta bowl." To redeem the offer, veterans and active-duty armed forces personnel should visit a participating location and show their military ID or wear their uniform.

White Castle

With proof of service, all past and current members of military will receive a free breakfast slider, waffle slider or toast sandwich, and a small beverage at participating White Castle restaurants.
