The fast-food chain is unveiling a new breakfast sandwich made with plant-based "meat," called the Impossible Croissan'wich. The Impossible Croissan'wich is made with an egg, a slice of American cheese, and an Impossible Sausage sandwiched between two halves of a toasted croissant.

Burger King is testing its new plant-based breakfast sandwich in 139 restaurants across five cities this February. Here's where and when the Impossible Croissan'wich will be available.

  • Savannah, Georgia: January 27 through February 9
  • Lansing, Michigan: January 27 through February 9
  • Albuquerque, New Mexico: January 30 through February 12
  • Bakersfield, California: February 3 through February 16
  • Montgomery, Alabama: February 13 through February 26

Impossible Foods first revealed its new plant-based sausage along with a plant-based ground pork alternative at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early January.

"We've already cracked meat's molecular code starting with ground beef," Jessica Appelgren, vice president of communications at Impossible Foods, told Business Insider in an email. "Pork was a very easy decision as it's the number one ... most widely consumed animal-derived protein globally - a huge market opportunity."
