The Indian government has asked the Facebook-owned messaging service, Whatsapp, to introduce digital fingerprinting to messages shared on the platform. It won't break encryption but it will allow the government to trace the origin of messages.The implementation of such an idea would require WhatsApp to unheave its current infrastructure and replace it with on that allows for digital fingerprinting. Aside from the implementation issues, there are also concerns that the Indian government may use such a tool for surveillance.Cognizant has announced its first acquisition under the leadership of its new CEO, Brain Humphries.
