On Aug 23, 2023 at 6:04 pm, India created history by becoming the first nation to successfully softland on the Moon’s south pole. Since then congratulatory comments have poured in. We look at some of the big ones.

The current NASA Administrator, Bill Nelson congratulated Indian space agency ISRO and said that NASA was “glad to be your partner on this mission!”

Tesla chief Elon Musk responded to a tweet on his platform X by Newsthink which pointed out that the budget of India’s lunar mission was less than half of Nolan’s hit film Interstellar. Musk said, “Good for India”.

Several Indian business biggies like Gautam Adani took to X to congratulate ISRO. Adani has called them “the pride of the nation”.

M&M chief Anand Mahindra echoed the pride and also pointed out that ISRO’s success shows us “how to deal with failure & use it as a platform to rise again”.
