The Federation of Indian Airlines , having Jet Airways, IndiGo, SpiceJet and GoAir as its members, has taken a decision to ban Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad from flying after he assaulted an Air India staff member. Even though Vistara is not a part of FIA yet, it has said it supports the decision and would not allow the MP to board their flights.
A detailed statement on the issue is expected soon.
Gaikwad had slapped an Air India ground staff on Thursday after he was made to fly economy class between Pune and Delhi. Even though he had a business-class ticket, the aircraft on this sector was all economy.
