On the accusation of targeting Islam, the 43-year old argued that he had also tweeted his feelings about Gurdwaras and Temples misusing loudspeakers, but no one had paid any attention to that.
Nigam added that Mohammad Rafi, a Muslim, was his guru and that he, being a secular person, had visited Ajmer Sharif and Pushkar Temple in the past.
“My trainer was a Muslim. It’s not about my tweet, it’s about the thinking. I’ve taken up a social issue here not spoken on a religious topic,” said Sonu.
