Mithali Raj announces her retirement from all forms of cricket — Here’s a snippet of her cricket journey

The 39-year-old veteran batter announced her retirement from all forms of cricket today, June 8.

Raj announced the end of her 23-year cricket career on social media.

“Like all journeys, this one too must come to an end.

Today is the day I retire from all forms of international cricket,” Raj said in a statement.

Runs scored in her career

Mithali Raj scored 7,805 runs in 232 ODI matches, at an average of just over 50. She also scored 2,364 runs in 89 T20Is, as well as 699 runs in 12 Tests, including a century and four 50s.

Raj is one of the highest run-scorers in women’s international cricket...

...and she is considered to be one of the greatest female cricketers of all time.
