The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is a cricket series contested between India and Australia. It was named after two former cricketers, Allan Border of Australia and Sunil Gavaskar of India. The series usually consists of four Test matches played between the two nations.

Michael Clarke, the former Australian captain, scored a triple-hundred in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He played unbeaten innings of 329 runs from 468 balls at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in January 2012.

India’s Anil Kumble took 111 wickets against Australia, the most wickets by any bowler in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Highest partnership

Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke hold the record for the highest partnership. The duo smashed 386 runs for the fourth wicket at the Adelaide Oval in January 2012.
