The Commonwealth Games 2022 is being held in Birmingham, England and on the final day of the Games India has won 58 medals - 20 gold, 15 silver, and 23 bronze. The highest medal tally is in wrestling (12), followed by weightlifting with 10 medals.

Of the 58 medals India has won, male athletes took home 32 medals while female athletes won 23. The Indian doubles category won 3 medals.

PV Sindhu, the reigning badminton champion of India beat Michelle Li of Canada to secure India’s 19th gold medal. Lakshya Sen had to fight hard to defeat Malaysia's Ng Tze Yong to win the gold in the men's singles.

Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat bagged gold in the female wrestling category while Bajrang Punia, Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Naveen and Deepak Punia brought home the gold in the men’s category.

Mirabai Chanu, an Olympics silver medallist, secured a gold medal at Birmingham. Jeremy Lalrinnunga won gold in the men’s 67 kg category while Achinta Sheuli won it in the 73 kg category.

The Birmingham Commonwealth games saw India secure three boxing gold medals by Amit Panghal, Nikhat Zareen and Nitu Ghanghas.

The men’s table tennis duo of Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Harmeet Desai won a gold against Singapore. Mixed doubles team of Sharath Kamal and Sreeja Akula brought in another gold. Bhavina Patel won the gold medal in women’s singles para Table Tennis.

Eldhouse Paul, the 25-year-old athlete from Kerala, created history as he became the first Indian to win a gold medal in the men's triple jump. Another Indian, Abdulla Aboobacker, won the silver.

India won its maiden gold medal in the women’s lawn bowls beating South Africa by 17-10. Lovely Choubey, Pinki, Nayanmoni Saikia and Rupa Rani formed the winning Indian team.

Sudhir, an Asian bronze medallist, secured a gold for India at Birmingham in the men’s heavyweight para powerlifting category. The 27-year-old broke the record at the games, lifting 212 kgs in his second attempt.
