The Commonwealth Games 2022, also known as Birmingham 2022, kicked off on July 28 and will last till August 8. Nearly 5,000 athletes from 72 Commonwealth nations will be participating at this event.

Weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga won the second gold medal for India as he finished first in the Men's 67kg final.

Weightlifter Achinta Sheuli won the gold medal in the Men's 73kg weightlifting final. It is the third gold medal in the 2022 CWG Games for India.
