Lionel Messi has failed to score in just over 360 minutes of football in the Spanish top division, and it's his longest goal drought for more than six years.

The Argentine has drawn blanks in each of FC Barcelona's last four games in La Liga against Valencia, Levante, Real Betis, and Getafe. The last time he failed to score in that many consecutive matches was during the 2013/14 season, when he went eight games without scoring.

While he's not been his usual self in front of goal however, Messi has chipped in more than enough for Quique Setien's side, producing six assists in the last three matches.

After a shock 2-0 defeat to Valencia, Messi twice teed up youngster Ansu Fati as Barca beat Levante 2-1, before getting a hat-trick of assists in the following match against Real Betis. Against Getafe on Saturday, he provided the pass that led to Antoine Griezmann's opener in a 2-1 win.

Messi's contributions this season, despite his recent barren run of goals, mean he is both the top scorer and top provider in La Liga, having managed 14 goals and 12 assists.

Only one player in the whole of Europe has made more direct domestic goal contributions, with Ciro Immobile of Lazio, scoring 26 goals and providing six assists for a combined 32 contributions, compared to Messi's 26.

Barcelona is currently second in La Liga, one point behind leaders Real Madrid, and next take on 16th placed Eibar om Saturday.
