Shikhar Dhawan — 187 runs

Often called as ‘Gabbar Dhawan’, he is regarded as one of the best opening batsmen in the world. He tops the list with 187 runs from 174 balls against Australia in 2013.

Rohit Sharma — 177 runs

The current captain of India’s T20I team, Sharma has not only proved to be a successful batsman, but also a great captain. He made 177 runs in 301 balls in his test debut in 2013 against West Indies.

Gundappa Viswanath — 137 runs

Former Indian cricketer, who was known as one of the finest batsmen of his era, scored 137 runs against Australia in 1969.

Prithvi Shaw — 134 runs

The 22-year old right-handed batsman had showcased his batting prowess by scoring 134 runs in 154 balls against West Indies in 2018.

Former captain of the Indian team, who was popularly known as the ‘Maharaja of Indian cricket’, scored 131 runs in 301 balls against England in 1996.

Surinder Amarnath — 124 runs

Former Indian cricketer and son of icon Lala Amarnath, Surinder had a very promising career as a batsman. He made a very successful test debut with 124 runs made against New Zealand in 1976.

Suresh Raina — 120 runs

Former Indian international cricketer, who was known for his aggressive batting skills and one of the best fielders in the Indian team, he made his test debut with 120 runs in 228 balls against Sri Lanka in 2010.

Amarnath, who was also the captain of the Indian team, was one of the first Indian batsmen to score a century in a test with 118 runs against England in 1993.
