The sports-tech power couple announced the news to the public at the 2023 Met Gala. But just moments before heading to the star-studded event, they let their 5-year-old daughter, Olympia, in on the exciting family update.

Williams posted an adorable clip to her YouTube channel showcasing the exact moment Olympia learns she'll become a big sister. While seated on a couch with her husband and the kindergartener, the 23-time Grand Slam tennis champion acknowledges that her daughter has "been praying for a little sister or brother" before answering those prayers.

"Well, we went to the doctor, and it turns out I'm not getting fat," Williams said. "But I have a baby in my belly."

Olympia calmly looked up at her mom and replied "Are you kidding me?" But as soon as her parents assured her that she was, in fact, getting a new sibling, the soon-to-be big sister giggled, grinned, and hugged her mom.

Then she jumped for joy. Literally.

She bounced off the couch, threw her hands in the air, and screeched as she ran around the room. All Williams and Ohanian could do was laugh when a loud thump indicated Olympia had collided with something out of frame.

"I'm okay!" she assured them, then flung herself over the back of the couch while shouting "I'm so excited!"

Dad then asked Olympia for a favor: "Keep it a secret for one more day."

Williams previously noted that she hadn't told her daughter sooner because "she can't keep a secret." But their plan worked out perfectly; Olympia was thrilled, and Mom and Dad got their special moment on the red carpet.
