BCCI on 27 December 2022 announced the Indian squad for ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka. The series will get started in January 2023. Shivam Mavi gets his maiden India call-up to play the T20I series.

Shivam Mavi is a 24-year-old bowling all-rounder. Mavi has played a total of 32 matches and has taken 30 wickets in his career from 2018 until now.

Shivam Mavi will play under the captain Hardik Pandya for Gujarat Titans. Starting the bid with a base price of 40 lakhs, Mavi was taken for six crores.
