What is a golden duck

A golden duck is a term used when a batsman gets out on the very first delivery that they face without scoring any runs.

Silver duck

Silver duck is used when a batsman gets out on the second delivery without scoring any runs.

Bronze duck

Similarly, when a batsman gets out on the third delivery without scoring any runs, it is referred to as a bronze duck.

Royal duck is a term reserved for openers who get out on the very first delivery of the innings.
