With Mumbai Indians being the first team to be eliminated, here are the probabilities of Indian Premier League (IPL) playoff qualifications, as estimated in a report by the Economic Times.

Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders

Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders are the only two teams that have a 100 per cent probability of making it to the top four and are now competing for the top spot.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad, who destroyed the Lucknow Super Giants’ bowling attack on Wednesday to chase down 166 in less than 10 overs, now have a 94 per cent probability of making it to the top four.

Chennai Super Kings

Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings now have an estimated probability of around 73 per cent of making it to the top four.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals, which is currently at fifth spot has a 50 per cent probability of making it to the playoffs.

Lucknow Super Giants

Even after the nasty defeat on Wednesday, Lucknow Super Giants still have a probability of around 50 per cent of making it to the playoffs.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru

While the RCB Women's team clinched the trophy earlier this year, the men’s team disappointed the fans throughout the first half of the tournament. Despite a comeback over the last three matches, they just have a small, 8 per cent probability of the team making it to the playoffs.

Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans, which has dearly missed ex-captain Hardik Pandya dearly this season, also has a probability of around 8 per cent to make it to the playoffs.

Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings have the lowest probability of around 6.3 per cent of making it to the playoffs. The match between PBKS and RCB on May 9 will result in the losing team being eliminated.
