Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on each other in the first qualifier of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. While KKR sits on the top, SRH is in the second position on the table after winning its last match against Punjab Kings.

The first qualifier between KKR and SRH is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21 at 7:30 PM.

While the winner of the match will head on to the finals, the loser will go to the second qualifier.

The first qualifier is set at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The two teams have not faced each other at this venue so far.

KKR and SRH have played 26 matches against each other in IPL history. Out of this, KKR has won 17 matches and SRH has won the remaining 9 matches, putting KKR ahead of SRH.

KKR and SRH have faced each other twice in IPL 2024, with KKR winning both matches. While KKR will look to make it a hat trick, SRH will look to get its revenge.

KKR’s key players in the IPL 2024 include Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy, Mitchell Starc. Phil Salt, one of the key batsmen for the team has left for England for World Cup duties.

SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma have been in explosive form so far. Along with the duo, T Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are players to watch out for.

Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who are on the third and fourth spots respectively will play the eliminator on May 22. The winner will go to the second qualifier.
