Ellysse Perry won the orange cap in WPL 2024 after scoring 347 runs in nine matches with a high score of 66 runs.

Perry has made her mark with her bowling too, taking seven wickets in seven matches. This includes a six-wicket haul against MI women where she gave away just 15 runs.

Youngest cricketer to represent Australia

Perry is the youngest cricketer, male or female to play for the Australian cricket team at the age of just 16 years.

Australia’s key player

Perry is also a key player in the Australian national team and the Sydney Sixers. Having played 95 T20I innings, she has scored 1841 runs with a high score of 75 runs.

First player to reach 1000 runs and 100 wickets in T20Is

Perry was the first player to score 1000 runs and take 100 wickets in T20Is. She achieved this feat in 2019 while playing against England.

Perry’s soccer run

Perry has also represented Australia in soccer on the international stage between 2007 and 2012. She has three international goals to her name.

First to appear in FIFA and ICC World Cups

Perry is also the first to appear in both FIFA and ICC World Cups. She played in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in 2009 and the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
