Indian stock-market indices are likely to start on a tepid note on Wednesday, led by negative cues from the global markets.

At 7:40 am, the SGX Nifty was down 0.28%, indicating a slow start for Nifty50. On Monday, the US stocks also declined as a surge in COVID-19 cases across the country led to renewed lockdown orders. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 0.49% lower, and the S&P 500 was down 0.19%.

These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session today:

Canara Bank

Canara Bank has set a floor price of ₹103.50 per share for its qualified institutional placement (QIP) to raise up to ₹2,000 crore. The bank sought its shareholders’ nod during the annual general meeting, held in August, for raising up to ₹2,000 crore by way of QIP.

The shares of Canara Bank ended 6% higher on Monday.

Titan Company

The Tata Group company, Titan said its board has decided to scale down the operations of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Favre Leuba AG (FLAG), with immediate effect.

Titan said that it has been continuously supporting FLAG, and has made a series of investments. However, the current COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the revival plans and prospects.

The shares of Titan Company ended 0.65% lower on Monday.

NBCC

State-owned construction firm National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) in a regulatory filing said it had bagged a contract worth ₹325 crore last month.

The shares of NBCC ended 3% higher on Monday.

HCC

HCC defaults on loan payment worth ₹1,836.1 crore.

The shares of HCC ended 4% higher on Monday.

Sun Pharma

The promoter of Sun Pharma, Shanghvi Finance, pledged 10 lakh shares on December 3 in favour of Deutsche Investments India as a security for the loan availed by a subsidiary company.

The shares of Sun Pharma ended 2% higher on Monday.

Coffee Day Enterprises

Malavika Hegde, the wife of late VG Siddhartha Hegde, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Coffee Day Enterprises from December 7.

The shares of Coffee Day Enterprises are suspended from the Indian stock exchanges.

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals

The additional chief secretary to the government, urban development and urban housing department, Mukesh Puri has been appointed as the managing director of Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals.

The shares of Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals ended 4% higher on Monday.

Goa Carbon

Goa Carbon said its production in November was up 59% at 14,309.200 MT as against 9,006.000 MT in October.

The shares of Goa Carbon ended 1% lower on Monday.
